YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL

As a Lead Service Designer you will co-create and deliver innovative and impactful concepts and solutions to our customers. You will lead, plan and execute client projects, proposals and pitches. You will also conduct client workshops and customer interviews. Our experts work both at our conveniently located studio in the heart of Vancouver (currently all remotely from their home) and on-site at our clients’ premises depending on the project.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagement 
  • Engage in internal and external dialogue around the service design discipline
  • Expert knowledge and practice of service design and research methodologies and tools, including qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Excellent workshop planning, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Creation of service design blueprints, presentations, reports, and key project documentation
  • Strong communication and presentation of your designs and solutions across stakeholders, partners, and team members
  • Client facing / Consultant work:
  • Build strong and customer-centric service design solutions for our clients
  • Produce metrics to follow to guarantee the best business performance
  • Define digital strategies that align business, customer, and associate needs
  • Identify and act on opportunities within projects
  • Analyze and respond to client briefs in a timely manner
  • Effectively prioritize and deliver to deadlines
  • Excellent personal time management
  • Act as a change agent for customer projects
  • Design Skills and Expertise:
  • Relevant work experience in the service design discipline for a minimum of 7+ years
  • Education in relevant service design disciplines (Service design, Business design, Systems design, Interaction design, and Graphic / Communication design)
  • Great industry experience and a stellar design portfolio showcasing service design expertise
  • Mastery of the Digital Service Ecosystem and User-Centric practices
  • Solid experience developing and executing service design solutions, including proven launched service solutions in the real world
  • Collaborative work style with flexibility and positivity
  • Hands-on experience of iterative/lo-fidelity prototyping
  • Empathetic nature and eagerness to embrace new technologies and new design methodologies
